Climate: Ranges from warm in the Risaralda Valley to cool “páramo” in the Nevados National Park.
Temperature: 15 - 21 degrees centigrade

There is a very special climate that is needed in order to produce coffee and Pereira benefits from this delicious mixture of cool, wet days and warm, sun-filled days. In the National Parks, it is necessary to take cold-weather clothing as with the increase in altitude comes with a decrease in temperature.

The tradition of Pereira is a legacy of the first intrepid settlers who realised the potential of the fertile, rich earth that supplies the perfect nutrients and goodness to produce the deepest coffee on the planet.

Many of the residents who live in the small towns and villages which surround Pereira can still be seen wearing the typical clothing of times gone by. Visitors will be left with a love of the bright colours that adorn the coffee-houses of the region and the flowers that cascade from the balconies of the same buildings.
